The Wal-Mart de Mexico Foundation holds an agreement with the Mexican Red Cross to face together all difficulties caused by natural disasters. This way, facing the lack of much needed food, the affected families would have staple baskets in the shortest amount of time possible.

We established a revolving fund of 5,000 family baskets with staple items. Additionally, we signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program and the Mexican Red Cross to support far away communities in the Mexican Southeast with baskets distributed by its brigadiers.
