The Wal-Mart de Mexico Foundation grants financial donations to non-profit organizations with the main purpose of promoting Food Safety and having a positive impact on the Nutrition of marginalized communities nationwide.

The donation is granted by presenting and approving their project, which must include a high social impact and show self-sustainability in the mid term.

Projects must be presented in the terms and times specified in the invitation to participate, as presented afterwards.

Furthermore, as part of the financial donations system, the Wal-Mart de Mexico Foundation offer different alternatives for customers of the Wal-Mart group to donate resources on behalf of specific projects from non-profit organizations. These programs are divided as follows:

a. Matching Fund Campaigns:
Special campaigns where customers buy special stickers on behalf of a local social cause, from participating units. In addition to these resources, the Wal-Mart de Mexico Foundation matches each peso obtained with an equal amount.

b.Social Assistance Cards:
We give our customers and members the opportunity of buying a Social Assistance card in all Wal-Mart de Mexico stores, clubs and restaurants, supporting projects carried out by non-profit organizations. The Wal-Mart de Mexico Foundation strengthens this support donating a percentage of the amount collected from the sale of these cards.
